We really enjoyed our beach vacation this year. We decided to make this our “real honeymoon” because we didn’t have much time after the wedding before we had to be back in Washington, D.C. We spent a week at a darling bed and breakfast-ish hotel on the water. We didn’t do anything really extravagant during the week but instead enjoyed eating a lot of delicious food (the breakfasts were amazing!) and relaxing on the beach. We tried our hardest to put away our phones and the camera for the time we were there and just enjoy each other’s company! Here are a few pictures that we had to take for memories. I’m grateful we had a chance to recharge and have fun family experiences.
In addition to “beach-bumming”, we painted some pottery at a local art shop, had a spa day and got massages and pedicures (even Bryan!), kayaking on the sound, watched a movie in our room each night, and visited a famous local lighthouse. I don’t even want to think about how much we ate that week but we definitely spoiled ourselves with food. It was a great trip!
